Got a few things done today, some bigger than others!
I took a nice, warm shower, for one. Always feels nice getting clean. My hair is growing long again, which means it's getting harder to wash again, but I don't intend for it to get out of control like it used to be.
I had bloodwork done this morning. I had to wake up early and couldn't eat. I'm very, very bad about bloodwork; I always throw up and nearly faint. (Apparently it's not even a squeamish thing, necessarily—it's something called "Vasovagal syncope" and a lot of people have it, it turns out.) This time, while keeping my eyes shut and having music blaring through earbuds, I managed not to throw up or pass out! I did, however, have to lay on the grass outside the clinic for about a minute or so because my legs turned to jelly and my vision started to go spotty, but still! I did well! Too bad I spent all week stressing about it.
Finally, I switched my Linux distro from Mint Cinnamon to Fedora KDE Plasma! I was having compatibility issues with Cinnamon (even though I really did love it otherwise), and I'm very afraid of changes, but things have gone smoothly so far! It's working fine, and I've been able to transfer all my files and reinstall what I need. I'm already feeling comfortable!
I also went to Five Below after my bloodwork and got myself a treat (a Hatsune Miku figurine and an Invader Zim blind box figure. I got Gaz!).
So far, I've made it 5 days into my week-long break from social media. I'll allow myself back on Bluesky and such come Sunday, but I figured this would be good for me, especially to start the month off. I'm catching up on things I've been meaning to watch, as well as doing some reading.
It's time for bed now. I'm very, very tired after freaking out over a little appointment that ultimately went over fine (just as I knew it would). Here's hoping the coming days are good as well.
